Overview
Compound is the heart of rubber components. A right processing of compound gives the polymer an ability to withstand high stresses and endurance conditions. To give robustness and consistency for our compounds, we have a very strict control on the procurement of our polymers, chemicals and carbon. All our raw materials are procured from world leaders like JSR, Lanssex, DuPont, Continental, NOCIL etc.
All processes in our mixing are PLC controlled and have a very robust process control in place.
Chemical Weighing
This is the heart of any rubber compound formula. Chemicals give the base polymer an ability to withstand oil, ozone, flexing, high temperature etc.
Some of the chemicals are very essential in the vulcanization process. Depending on the ratios of these chemicals the vulcanization process is controlled. A slight variation in the weights of these chemicals can have a very adverse effect on compound properties.
As this is a very important stage of compound preparation we ensure right chemicals and right quantity is used. We at Fores Elastomech have developed a very robust SCADA based chemical system that can weigh chemicals with very close tolerances. As the chemicals are hygroscopic in nature, the weighing is done is a temperature controlled room.
Filler and Plasticizer Weighing
Fillers and Plasticizes act as a reinforcement to the base polymer. The quantity of fillers used gives the required hardness to the polymer and the right sequence of mixing fillers and plasticizes gives the mechanical properties to the compound.
Since fillers and plasticizes play an essential part in the compound properties, we have a SCADA based auto weighing system because of which we can control compound properties within very close tolerances.
Mixing
This is the final stage when chemical, polymer, carbon and process aids are bought together. A homogeneous mixture of all these elements is very essential for right compound. As this is the most critical part we have a custom designed intermixes and standard mills and batch off system. The entire system is design and custom built using our years of experience.
